Iowa Core Curriculum (posted 12/02/2009)

In the spring of 2008, the Iowa legislature and governor adopted the Iowa Core Curriculum as a requirement for all Iowa schools. The Iowa Core Curriculum offers a strong framework to help teachers prepare all students for success in a competitive and constantly changing world. Activity passes are now available for purchase at both the district and high school offices. The cost is as follows:

10 punch Student - $20

10 punch Adult - $30

Student Year - $50

Adult Year - $75

Family Year - $150

Newsletter Notice

FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

Dear North-Linn CSD Patrons:

I am writing this letter to inform you the North-Linn CSD newsletter has been discontinued in its current format.  After review of the newsletter’s content and the information contained within, it was determined that the newsletter information could be more efficiently displayed and distributed by using the District website at www.northlinn.k12.ia.us .

Items such as lunch menus, activity calendars, sport camp registration, and other pertinent school and community information will now be easily accessible from the district website.  Other important information such as registration packets and the district report card will continue to be mailed to our parents and community members.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this transition from our current format to the website.  If you have questions concerning the information presented in this letter please contact the District Office at 319-224-3291.

Iowa School Alerts

The North-Linn Community School District has signed up to take part in a new notification system offered by the State of Iowa called "Iowa School Alerts." This program gives parents, the media, and others the opportunity to sign up to receive e-mail notification directly when we have cancelled classes, or will be dismissing early or starting late due to weather or other factors.
